- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of Tabasco sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 pt. oysters (and liquid)
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3 c. milk
- 1 c. light cream
- paprika
- oyster crackers
Directions

1Combine flour, salt, Tabasco sauce and cold water.

2Blend to a smooth paste.

3Stir in oysters and liquid. Add butter.

4Simmer over very low heat 5 minutes, just until edges of oysters curl, stirring gently. Combine milk and cream; scald and pour into oysters. Remove from heat and cover.

5Let stand 15 minutes to blend flavors.

6Heat soup tureen and dishes.

7Reheat stew briefly to serving temperature.

8Pour into tureen. Dash with paprika on top.

9Pass crackers.
