- 2 lb. asparagus, trimmed and peeled
- 1/4 c. unsalted butter, melted
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Blanche asparagus in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.

3Drain on paper towels.

4Arrange spears in a shallow ovenproof serving dish.

5Pour melted butter over asparagus.

6Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
