  • 1 jar (2 1/2 oz.) dried beef
  • 4 chicken breast halves, boned (skinned also if you wish)
  • butter
  • 1 can condensed mushroom soup
  • 1/3 c. half and half
  • 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 small can pitted ripe olives, drained and sliced
  • 3/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. white wine or vermouth (optional)

Directions

    Line shallow casserole with dried beef.

    Brown chicken in butter and place on beef.

    Mix soup, half and half, poultry seasoning and 2 tablespoons white wine or vermouth until smooth. Pour over chicken.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 10 minutes longer.
