- 3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. light corn syrup
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup and water; bring to boil, stirring constantly.

2Reduce heat and cook to hard ball stage (252°), stirring occasionally.

3Combine beaten egg whites and gelatin. Beat until mixture forms peaks.

4(May use any flavor gelatin.) Pour hot syrup in thin stream into egg whites, beating until loses gloss and holds shape.

5Fold in coconut and nuts.

6Pour into greased 9-inch square pan.

7Top with rows of chopped pecans or coconut.

8Makes 5 dozen.
