Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 lb. cooked, peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. vermicelli (or your favorite pasta)
  • 1/2 to 1 lb. fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 tsp. salt (optional)
  • fresh lemon
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Steam broccoli just until tender in saucepan or in microwave oven in a covered dish, about 5 minutes.

    Cook pasta in large pot of boiling water and salt according to package directions.

    While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil on medium flame in 12-inch frying pan.

    Saute garlic for about 1 minute, then add shrimp.

    Saute another few minutes until shrimp are heated through.

    Drain pasta and place on platter.

    Place drained broccoli over pasta.

    Pour shrimp and olive oil over broccoli.

    Serve with lemon and Parmesan cheese if desired.
