Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 12 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 slices salt pork
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Directions

    Cook spaghetti until al dente; drain.

    In a saucepan, over low heat, combine half and half, 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese and 4 tablespoons butter.

    Dice salt pork.

    In a separate skillet saute pork in the remaining 4 tablespoons butter until crisp.

    Remove salt pork and drain on paper towels.

    Add mushrooms and peas to skillet and cook 5 - 10 minutes.

    Add cream sauce, salt pork and mushroom mixture to spaghetti; mix and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
