- 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 stick (4 oz.) cold butter
- 1 tsp. salt (less if salted butter is used)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
- 1/4 c. ice water
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients in food processor bowl.

2Cut butter in 2 or 3 pieces; process with cutting blade until mixed.

3With machine running, very slowly pour in the ice water through feed tube.

4A ball of dough will form in 20 to 50 seconds.

5If more dough is needed, repeat directions.

6Do not double recipe.

7Chill dough for 30 minutes before rolling out.
