Pea Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, broken up
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. drained peas
  • 8 slices fried bacon, crumbled
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 4 oz. shredded cheese (I use sharp)

Directions

    Layer in a 13 x 9-inch cake pan the lettuce first, then other ingredients (except sugar, mayonnaise and cheese) one at a time (save bacon until ready to serve).

    Top with sugar and mayonnaise.

    Then sprinkle on the cheese.

    Cover and refrigerate 24 hours or overnight.

    Crumble on bacon when ready to serve.

    Mix in or serve as is.
