- 1 head lettuce, broken up
- 4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. drained peas
- 8 slices fried bacon, crumbled
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 c. mayonnaise
- 4 oz. shredded cheese (I use sharp)
Directions

1Layer in a 13 x 9-inch cake pan the lettuce first, then other ingredients (except sugar, mayonnaise and cheese) one at a time (save bacon until ready to serve).

2Top with sugar and mayonnaise.

3Then sprinkle on the cheese.

4Cover and refrigerate 24 hours or overnight.

5Crumble on bacon when ready to serve.

6Mix in or serve as is.
