- 1/2 c. melted margarine or butter
- 1 can (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
- 1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Pour melted butter into a 2-quart baking dish; set aside. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup juice.

2Bring peaches and juice just to a boil; set aside.

3Mix in bowl 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt; mix well.

4Pour over butter in dish. Spoon hot peaches over batter.

5Sprinkle remaining sugar.

6Bake at 400° for 25 minutes, or until cake tests done.

7Best when served warm.
