  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 large ripe peaches
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract

Directions

    Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl.

    Peel peaches and slice.

    Sprinkle with lemon juice and almond extract; toss to coat.

    Add sugar mixture; mix gently.

    Put into 2 crust pie shell.

    Brush top pastry with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a hot oven (425°) for 15 minutes.

    Lower heat to moderate oven (350°); bake 35 minutes longer or until pastry is golden brown and juices are bubbly.
