Peach Pound Cake

- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 c. chopped peaches *
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour a 10-inch tube cake pan.

3Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until well blended.

5Stir in almond and vanilla.

6Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture on low speed. By spatula, fold in sour cream and peaches.

7Bake for 75 to 85 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

8Cool in pan 5 minutes and turn out to cool completely.
