  • 1 c. (heaping) canned peaches (cut up and liquid removed)
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. nuts

Directions

    Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan and cook over low heat, stir gently till thick.

    Cold.

    Stir in 1 tsp.

    almond extract.

    Combine in bowl the brown sugar, baking pwdr, salt, butter and flour and blend with pastry blender till crumbly.

    Stir in evaporated lowfat milk and nuts.

    Press 3/4 of the above mix in a 9x13 greased pan for crust.

    Spread peachy mix over crust.

    Top with remaining crumbs.

    Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 min.
