- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. raw peanuts, chopped
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1In 3 quart saucepan, heat together sugar, corn syrup and water stirring until sugar dissolves.

2When syrup boils, blend in butter. Stir frequently after temperature reaches 230° on candy thermometer; add peanuts when temperature reaches 280°; stirring constantly to crack stage 305°.

3Remove from heat, stir in soda mixing well.

4Pour onto 2 buttered cookie sheets.

5Spread, then loosen when candy hardens.

6Break into pieces and store in plastic bags.
