- 2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. light corn syrup
- 2/3 c. cold water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. roasted peanuts
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup, water and butter in a heavy saucepan. Cook until sugar is dissolved.

2Continue cooking without stirring to 300° or when syrup separates into hard brittle threads when dropped into cold water.

3Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, baking soda and peanuts.

4Pour onto greased cookie sheet.

5When slightly cooled, pull edges to make a thin sheet.

6When thoroughly cold, break into pieces.

7Yields 1 1/2 pounds candy.
