- 1 c. white corn syrup
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Place syrup, sugar and water in an iron skillet and cook to the soft ball stage at 230°.

2Add peanuts, stir and cook to the crack stage, 301° to 302°.

3Turn off the heat.

4Stir in until blended the butter, vanilla and baking soda.

5Pour onto greased surface, preferably marble.

6Turn it at once and stretch it quickly until very thin.

7When cold, break into pieces.
