  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. clear Karo syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • peanuts
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. heaping baking soda

Directions

    Cook first 3 ingredients to 240°.

    Put in peanuts and cook to 300°.

    Add in this order:

    salt, vanilla, butter and baking soda. Stir quickly and pour 1/2 into one cookie sheet and the other 1/2 on the other cookie sheet.

    Make sure the cookie sheets are buttered real good.
