- 1 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Mix the first 3 ingredients and bring to a boil using a heavy kettle.

2Cook until

3the mixture begins to change color.

4Add peanuts immediately.

5Continue to cook until light amber (Peanut Brittle color).

6Peanuts will clump together so keep stirring apart.

7Remove from heat immediately and add butter, soda and salt.

8Stir in rapidly.

9Spread on a well-buttered cookie sheet, pushing the peanuts down into the candy and also spreading it to the thinness you desire.

10Cool and break up.
