Peanut Butter Pie

Ingredients
- 1 baked pie shell
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1/4 c. peanut butter
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 3 egg whites
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Mix until crumbly the powdered sugar and peanut butter.

2Put in bottom of baked pie shell, saving 2/3 tablespoon of mixture for top of pie.

3Combine cornstarch, sugar, milk, salt, egg yolks, butter and vanilla.

4Cook until thick.

5Cool some.

6Pour on top of crumbly mixture in pie shell.

7Beat egg whites with sugar for meringue. Cover top of pie.

8Sprinkle reserved crumbly mixture on meringue and brown in oven at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.
