  • 1/2 bushel pears (cooking)
  • 2 1/2 lb. sugar

Directions

    Peel pears and cut in medium slices.

    Pour sugar over pears. Soak overnight.

    In large boiler cook at medium heat until pears turn light brown in color.

    Put in sterile jars.

    Seal tight.
