- 1 gal. peeled pears, cut up
- 7 red sweet peppers
- 7 green sweet peppers
- 4 or 5 hot peppers
- 1/2 gal. onions
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
- 6 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 2 Tbsp. turmeric
Directions

1Grind together the pears,

3and onions; add the salt and let stand 1 hour.

4Drain off and discard liquid.
