- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. flour
- 1/3 c. finely chopped pecans
Directions

1In medium bowl, cream margarine and sugar.

2Add egg yolk and vanilla; beat until mix is light and fluffy.

3Beat in cream of tartar, then stir in flour and pecans.

4Drop by heaping 1/2 teaspoonfuls 1-inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.

5Bake in preheated 300° oven until rich golden, about 20 minutes.

6These are small cookies and make approximately 5 dozen.
