  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. small pecan meats

Directions

    Combine first 6 ingredients and stir thoroughly.

    Stir in eggs well, but do not beat.

    Fold in pecans.

    Pour into prepared pie crust.

    Put 9 or 10 pecan halves on top.

    Bake in hot oven (425°) for 10 minutes. Reduce heat (325°) for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.

    Cool completely before cutting.

    Serve plain or with whipped cream.
