- 1 1/2 c. (12 oz. bottle) Log Cabin syrup
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 8-inch pie shell
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Bring syrup to a boil in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan.

2Boil gently, uncovered, for 8 minutes.

3Cool about 15 minutes.

4Sprinkle nuts in pie shell.

5Cream butter.

6Blend in sugar, flour and salt.

7Add eggs, syrup and vanilla; mix well.

8Pour into shell.

9Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes, or until pie is completely puffed across top and browned.
