  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
  • 9-inch unbaked deep-dish pie shell
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. dark Karo
  • 1 1/2 c. broken pecan meats
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Boil sugar and syrup together for 2 or 3 minutes. Beat eggs slightly; pour slowly into the hot syrup. Add butter, vanilla and pecan meats. Turn into raw pie shell and bake in moderate oven about 45 minutes or until set.
