  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 shallow pie crusts
  • 3 c. pecans

Directions

    Combine sugar, syrup and butter in 2-quart saucepan; bring to boil.

    Beat eggs; pour over hot syrup and beat while pouring.

    To make a real pecan pie, add about 3 cups of chopped pecans and mix. Add vanilla; pour in crust.

    Bake in 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the crust is browned just right.
