- 1 (8-inch) pie shell, unbaked
- 1 c. pecan halves
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. melted butter
Directions

1Spread pecan halves over the bottom of the unbaked pie shell. Beat the eggs until frothy.

2Add sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla and butter.

3Blend thoroughly.

4Pour filling over pecans in shell. Bake 10 minutes in hot 450° oven.

5Reduce the heat to 350° and bake for 35 minutes longer.
