  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 (8 1/2-inch) pie shell (unbaked)

Directions

    Cream butter; add sugar gradually.

    Add next 5 ingredients and mix well.

    Pour into unbaked shell and bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes.

    It will be slightly wiggly in the middle but will firm up as it cools.

    Serve with whipped cream.
