- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/3 c. butter
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 1 1/4 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup and butter in medium saucepan.

2Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and butter melts.

3Let cool slightly.

4Add eggs, vanilla extract and salt to mixture.

5Stir well.

6Pour filling into pastry shell and top with pecan halves.

7Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.

8Yield: One 9-inch pie.
