- 32 oz. pkg. Pictsweet black-eyed peas
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. Pictsweet chopped onion
- 3/4 c. Pictsweet chopped green peppers
- 10 3/4 oz. can stewed tomatoes
- 4 oz. can chopped green chilies
- 1/2 c. commerical salsa, divided
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Prepare peas according to cooking instructions, drain.

3Saute onion and pepper in margarine and add next 3 ingredients, set aside.

4Combine peas and remaining salsa and spoon into an ungreased baking dish.

5Pour onion mixture over peas and bake for 30 minutes.

6Sprinkle with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes.

7Serves as a dip.
