- 2 lb. round steak
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium sweet pepper, cut in strips
- 2 large whole tomatoes or 18 oz. can tomatoes
- 1/4 c. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small garlic, minced
- shortening
Directions

1Cut beef in 1/2 inch thick strips.

2Coat with flour seasoned with little salt and pepper.

3Brown strips in hot shortening (2 tablespoons).

4Drain.

5Chop tomatoes and add onions and garlic. Add liquid from tomatoes and 2 cups water.

6Cover and cook low until beef is tender.

7Add green sweet pepper and cook low, for 10 more minutes.

8Serve hot with white rice.
