Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak, cut into strips
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 large green peppers
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 can Chinese mixed vegetables
  • 3 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in 4 c. hot water
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • 2 cans Chinese noodles

Directions

    Lightly salt and pepper meat; brown in oil.

    Put 1/8 teaspoon ginger over meat while browning.

    Add water and bouillon cubes; bring to a boil.

    Cover and simmer for 1 hour until meat is tender.

    Add green peppers, cut in strips, Chinese mixed vegetables and cornstarch to thicken gravy.

    Cook for 15 minutes. Serve over Chinese noodles or rice.
