Peppermint Ice Cream

  • 2&1/2 cups 2% milk, divided
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 tsps vanilla
  • 14oz can FF sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup crushed peppermint candies

Directions

    Combine 1and 1/4 cup milk and egg yolks in heavy saucepan over medium heat. Cook until slightly thick and coats the back of spoon-about 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Do not boil. Cool mixture slightly

    Combine egg mixture, 1@1/4 cups milk,vanilla,and condensed milk in large bowl. Cover and chill completely. Stir in peppermint candies. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze accordingly
