- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 1/2 qt. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Mix all of the ingredients together and place in a 3-quart covered saucepan.

2Bring to a simmer on the top of the stove and then place, covered, in a 300° oven.

3Bake without disturbing or stirring for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

4The pudding will almost caramelize and become a pale golden color.

5It's just wonderful on a cool fall day!
