  • 5 lb. green tomatoes (10 c.), chopped
  • 1 large sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 2 lb. onions (3 3/4 c.), chopped
  • 1/2 c. pickling salt, mixed well with prepared vegetables
  • 1 qt. cider vinegar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. horseradish
  • 1 tsp. whole cloves
