1Cut cucumbers across in round the thickness desired.

2Fill a quart jar with the cucumber slices.

3Cover cucumbers with apple vinegar and put a screw-on lid on the jar tight.

4Put aside for several or more months.

5Pour off the vinegar (the cucumbers will have shrunk to about half volume).

6Fill a jar with cucumbers, leaving an inch or so at the top.

7Cover the cucumbers with as much sugar as the jar will take.
