- 1 doz. eggs
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. tarragon vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 6 whole cloves
- 1 onion, sliced
Directions

1Boil eggs.

2Drain immediately and run cold water over eggs. Peel eggs and place in narrow, deep jar.

3In medium saucepan, combine all other ingredients except sliced onions.

4Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

5Place onion slices on top of eggs; pour hot vinegar on top of eggs, making sure they are completely covered.

6Cover tightly; refrigerate for several days.
