Ingredients
- fresh green beans
- water
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of Tabasco
- cider vinegar
Directions

1Trim just the stems and tips from fresh green beans.

2Use a jar that the beans will stand up in.

3Put beans in saucepan with just enough water to half cover beans.

4(Don't use aluminum, it will darken beans.)

5Bring to a boil and simmer partly covered for 5 to 7 minutes.

6Beans should be hot through, but crunchy.

7Put beans in jar.

8Use cooking liquid to half fill jar.

9Add onion, sliced and separated into rings, 1/2 teaspoon salt and Tabasco.

10Fill jar to top with cider vinegar.
-
11Let stand overnight in refrigerator, then enjoy.

12Will keep 2 weeks.
