  • 3 lb. okra
  • 6 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 c. water
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. dill
  • 1 Tbsp. white mustard seed
  • 1 pod red pepper

Directions

    Use small, tender pods of okra, leaving a little stem on.

    Put dill, pepper and mustard seed in jar first; pack okra.

    Boil water, vinegar and salt until salt dissolves.

    Pour into sterilized jars; seal.

    Put in hot water bath and boil for 5 minutes.

    Yields 5 pints.
