  • fresh okra
  • dill seed
  • hot red pepper
  • hot green pepper
  • garlic cloves
  • 1 qt. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. pure or uniodized salt
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Place 1/2 teaspoon dill seed in bottom of pint jar, approximately 4 pints.

    Wash okra and pack as tightly as possible in jars, being careful not to bruise.

    Add 1/2 teaspoon dill seed, 1 pod red and green peppers and 1 clove garlic to each jar.

    Bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil. Pour hot mixture over okra; seal and allow to stand 2 weeks.

    Serve icy cold.
