- 8 lb. peaches (Indian)
- 8 whole cloves
- 8 (2-inch) sticks cinnamon
- 4 lb. sugar
- 2 qt. vinegar
Directions

1Put cloves and spice in a thin cloth.

2Cook with sugar and vinegar for 10 minutes or until thickened.

3Add peaches.

4Cook until tender.

5Let stand overnight.

6In the morning, remove spices.

7Drain syrup from peaches and boil until thickened.

8Pack syrup over peaches, filling jars to top.

9Seal tightly.
