- 3 large red onions, very thinly sliced
- 1 c. tarragon red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 3 whole cloves
- 4 black peppercorns, crushed
Directions

1Place onions in a saucepan with the vinegar and enough cold water (about 1 cup) to cover.

2Add sugar, cloves and peppercorns. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes or until the onions are tender.

3Refrigerate until ready to serve.
