- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 4 Tbsp. cold water
Directions

1Mix flour and salt.

2Cut in shortening with pastry cutter until pea size.

3Sprinkle water on dough, one tablespoon at a time.

4Lightly mix with a fork.

5Round into ball; cut in half for two.

6Makes 1 (8 or 9-inch) double crust pie or two single shells. Bake at 475° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
