  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Beat butter and shortening until creamy.

    Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed for 5 minutes.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating until yellow disappears.

    Combine flour and baking powder alternately with milk.

    Mix at low speed until well blended.

    Stir in vanilla and pineapple.

    Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
