  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1 large can unsweetened pineapple
  • 1 c. coconut

Directions

    Sift flour and baking powder together.

    Cream butter and sugar; add flour and water alternately.

    Add vanilla.

    Fold in egg whites.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in 3 layer pans.

    Between each layer and on top, use pineapple and juice, coconut and frosting.
