- 2 c. soft shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
- 7 c. flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Mix soft shortening, sugar and eggs together.

2Stir in pineapple with juice.

3Sift flour, soda, salt and nutmeg together and stir in.

4Mix in nuts.

5Chill at least 1 hour.

6Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake until, when touched lightly with finger, no imprint remains. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.

7Makes about 10 dozen cookies.
