- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg whites
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Directions

1Drain crushed pineapple.

2Mix together in bowl the sugar, salt, flour and egg yolks.

3Put milk in pan; mix in sugar flour mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.

4Be careful not to scorch.

5Remove from stove and cool.

6Add pineapple and vanilla.

7Put into pie shell.

8Cover with meringue made from egg whites.
