- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. butter
- 2 c. milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. crushed pineapple, drained
Directions

1Scald milk; add sugar, flour and salt, which has been mixed together and stir until it begins to thicken.

2Beat egg yolks in cup and add 1/2 cup of hot pudding; stir well and add slowly to mixture.

3Add vanilla and butter.

4Remove from fire.

5Pour 1/2 of pie filling in baked crust; spread pineapple on, then cover with remaining filling.

6Cover with meringue.

7Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
