Pineapple Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 can chunk pineapple in heavy syrup (pineapple juice will not work)
  • 1 can mandarin orange segments in syrup
  • 1 package (4 serving size) vanilla cook & serve pudding (instant will not work)
  • 3-4 bananas, sliced

Directions

    Drain syrup from pineapple and mandarin oranges into measuring cup.

    If necessary, add water to make 1 2/3 cups.

    Empty pudding mix powder into saucepan.

    Stir in syrup.

    Stirring frequently, bring to a boil over medium heat.

    Mixture will bubble & become clear & thick.

    Cook, stirring for 1 minute.

    Remove from heat, stir in pineapple & mandarin oranges.

    Let cool,

    then refrigerate several hours or overnight.

    Add sliced bananas just before serving.
