- 1 c. sugar
- 1 can crushed pineapple (undrained)
- 1 butter, yellow, pineapple or lemon cake mix
- 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
- 1 (12 oz.) bowl whipped topping
- coconut (optional)
Directions

1Bring sugar and pineapple to a boil and cool.

2Mix cake as directed on box and stir in pineapple mixture.

3Bake as directed on box.

4Let cake cool completely.

5Mix pudding as directed on box and pour over cooled cake.

6Refrigerate for 1 hour.

7Spread with whipped topping and garnish with coconut, if desired.
