- 12 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. dark brown sugar
- 1/4 c. pineapple juice
- 5 whole pineapple rings
- 5 maraschino cherries
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- whipped cream (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in an ovenproof skillet or 9-inch cake pan.

3Stir in brown sugar over low heat until it dissolves.

4Remove from heat; add pineapple juice. Arrange pineapple rings with a cherry in the center in 1 layer; set aside.

5Melt remaining 8 tablespoons butter; remove from heat. Stir in milk and egg; beat well.
